Indicated denomination is the base cost for one machine play. (one line, no multiplier)
You have to keep an eye on how many lines or multipliers (or even if you opted into the Progressives mode) you've selected or yes, you can on some of the higher-stakes machines blow $50 on one spin. The concept of Penny Slots has been dead for decades.
There is no need to have a warning sign for people who can't read.

I can confirm this. BC and most other juristictions have not allowed non-audit or offline machines since we phased out coin-in because it became extremely easy to launder money.
(though, that didn't stop them from laundering it anyways...)
Likewise, it was the reason during COVID the casinos could not turn their machines off or it would interrupt the bookkeeping.
