Pic by me tonight.

Can't tell from the pic, but the EY was red (slash was yellow).

So, whatever happened with the restaurant space that Nook was supposed to occupy. Doesn't look like anything is happening there after many months, have they pulled out?

Looks like Disney has opened a space here,

Disney opens Industrial Light and Magic's largest studio at The Stack tower in Vancouver

More than a decade after first planting roots in Vancouver’s visual effects (VFX) community, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) has officially opened its new, purpose-built and expanded studio.

It's finally happened! Nook is open in the Stack. I'll put the rest of my photos in the restaurant thread but be aware they've got a soft opening 50% off special until July 27 (no liquor license yet). Food was great.

The steel V column getting installed

Quote:
Column was first assembled on ground and then lifted and placed onto base (base previously placed and embeded into slab). Then lap plates are added and temporarily thru-bolted to secure and release crane (later the column to base will be fully welded as final conneciton). Bottom temporary strut can be seen removed at end of video.

Column spans from ground floor to underside of level 5 slab and will be cast into level 5 slab pour (you can see the rebars on the top of the v-column).

V-column weight is 70 imperial tons. Measures 16 meters tall by 11 meters wide.
Constructed of 2" box plate.
Main crane 270 ton
Secondary crane 200 ton
Cranes by Eagle Crane
