We’re proud to celebrate another milestone at @kinggeorgehub: the completion of Plaza One and Plaza Two, welcoming 886 new homeowners and a dynamic mix of new retailers — including Anytime Fitness, Brekka, Big Way Hotpot, BMO, and Sandbox VR. Together, they bring even more vibrancy and activity to the community!

Whoa! Thanks for the photos. Definitely a vibe. Anyone know how the interior crescent feels as a pedestrian / retail visitor?

king george hub and surrounding towers have been the best private development success story in Surreys history. Great density and lots of activity surrounding king george station. Its too bad surrey central station hasnt had the same level of development considering its the heart of dt surrey. Feels like its only the city and province that want to invest there. Im sure that will change in the future but it would have been nice if there was already a cluster of towers around central station.

Thankfully that old North Surrey Rec Centre beside the station is almost entirely demolished now so at least there is tangible action. Bosa's Parkway streetscape is also taking a bit of shape which visually gives a glimpse of the long overdue transformation.

Is Brekka related to the Breka cafe just off of Robson Street?

Yea it is supposed to be Breka they just misspelled the name, the company confirmed in the comments. First location outside of Vancouver.

Visually it is convincing that this is indeed a success. Even this forum's thread vibe has changed. Now there is no one making cowardly potshots at Surrey Central's development now as they know they will end up being mocked.

Is it the same developer that did the cluster of buildings north of the King G SkyTrain station as the southern cluster? Because the northern development I remember not being very pleasant - more or less a big parking lot

No, that was originally 'Infinity' by a Korean developer who went bankrupt, then Concord took it over using more or less the existing plans but the retail pavilion was reduced and 2 towers were combined for Park Boulevard.

This was the original concept with a large retail building next to the station.

yay a Breka! The VR place is taking one of the prime retail spots, seems like a waste, but better than nothing I guess. There is also another space coming, some kind of fitness related one, not the Anytime Fitness.

Worked that retail space at Plaza Two At King George Hub this morning, just looked at the space and helped the scanning guy.
I like the development, I found myself looking up everytime I stood in the plaza / courtyard area, surrounded by towers.
Sorry no pictures, I was not aware of this project on SSP when I was there, then driving home, I remembered seeing it here on SSP.
I'll be working the unit sometime in January, I'll post pictures and info then.

Big Way's expansion is insane. I just saw a new one in Olympic Village. They had a single location three years ago.

Yes, I am working that unit 101. When I was there on Thursday, there was no Breka window privacy curtain on the glass, which is unusual, don't know why they took it down.
Next time I'm there and I see drawings, I'll check the drawing's title.
No, nothing started yet, the unit is completely bare, not even a drawing table with a set of layout plans.
The scanning of the slab is being done now, then I'll go in and core the holes needed for plumbing and electrical work.
