this Clifton are only 400s and 500s, not the 2860 we're seeking. I've run across some hints of a Clifton somewhere west of Westlake Park, which works for 2860; but I haven't actually found the street itself yet.

It appears that the vendor is thinking of tiny Cliff St., not Clifton:

Just for your curiosity, the illegible nearby street beginning with
Ko is, according to the map's index,
Kofoed St.. All of these little streets in this area seem to have disappeared.

I lived the first 5 years of my life at 539 E. Foothill in Glendora, which would be built on the site of that first orange grove to the east 16 years after that aerial photo was taken. I remember walking often with my Nana on that sidewalk on the north side of Foothill on the way to and from the nearby park. I don't recall the garage specifically but that's not surprising given my tender age. Nice to see those old globe-topped street lights again, which were still there in my day. It also calls to mind what was probably the first 4-syllable word I ever learned: MINNEHAHA, which was embossed on the curb and sidewalk at the intersection of Foothill and Minnesota (Foothill's original street name was Minnehaha). I would point to the word and repeat the -haha like I was laughing, which made my grandmother chuckle in response every time. Anyway, just rambling. I love these little surprise trips down Memory Lane.
