Tower 5 is nearly topped out — only the crown remains.
Tower 6 is more than halfway complete (about 9–10 floors remaining).
Tower 7 is now above ground level.

Northwest penthouse on Tower 1 was recently on market and while it looked amazing, I kept wondering how much this tower will block the view to the north. From the last photo, it looks like the answer is "completely", which is too bad. It looked like a nice 2-storey unit with an interesting layout.

Thanks for the photos, Lexus!

ah this weekend, great.

Everyone who passed it, including me, went over and touched the tiles. Pretty nice.

I drove through Brentwood today to avoid traffic on Lougheed and on my pass through the Suitsupply store was open, looks nice inside. Soft opening I guess.

The Tower 6 brochure has some new renderings - unless they are old.
Maybe Shape will be renovating the old mall after all (?)
and has delayed the development of the neighborhoods at the centre of the site (?)

Renderings showing an "anchor" in the podium of Tower 7 - in the brochure and on the website under "Masterplan".
(that suggests that the 'no office' podium will be built)

https://homes.theamazingbrentwood.com/masterplan/

The brochure also still touts L Catterton Real Estate as a partner.

But the Master Plan page still suggests the mall will eventually be demolished for a new neighbourhood.

I think some of that is out of date. That street level rendering is from 2020

https://web.archive.org/web/20200930181529/https://mg2.com/projects/the-amazing-brentwood/

This is removed from the current webpage but I guess they had Apple at one point

I think this is the space between Tower 5 and the old mall.

Thanks.
Interesting that Sporting Life would have moved from underground to above ground?
That would clear the way for a big supermarket down there.

You can see it in this video:

It seems like it was in the podium for Tower 6. No idea why they opted to go underground.

Even Tower 5 was going through rezoning back in 2017 so I guess it wasn't that far behind Neighbourhood One originally.

Yeah, that is really old.
That's also where the department store could have gone.
There were several iterations with a department store there or several box box anchors.

The underground space was originally supposed to be a Target - so that probably allowed Sporting Life to open sooner than after mall redevelopment.

Yeah this Glotman Simpson rendering from 2015 seems like Target

From October to amend the masterplan. Everything has been lowered from the 80 storey towers previously floated.

Phasing goes clockwise from T7.

Phase 3 T8/T9/lowrise
Phase 4 T10/T11
Phase 5 T12/T13
Phase 6 T4/T14/T15

Quote:
The tallest towers are concentrated at the centre of the site, with permitted heights set at 50 to 63-storeys. The three central towers (T8, T10, T14), and two southeast corner towers (T15, T4) are mixed-use towers that will be required to provide a minimum number of commercial storeys as stipulated in the Amended Master Plan and draft OCP 2050 land use framework. Focusing height in the centre of the site reduces the impacts of density on the surrounding lower density
neighbourhoods, while offering a sense of gravity and purpose to the centre of the site. Given the phased build out of the site, the Amended Master Plan also considers a massing concept that would permit the re-allocation of 8 storeys of
base-permitted height from T10 to T15. Tower heights have been reduced from concepts that were consulted on in early 2024 in response to community feedback and even further reduced from the April 9, 2025, concept plan in response to input
received from the PDC.

....as predicted.

Though this seems like it was the more from the result of (NIMBY) pushback from the public hearing than from economic or market considerations and reality.

Lost opportunity to have an 80 storey tower and possible tallest in the immediate region.

But I guess with the timeline anything can happen on the later phases though the tall central ones are earlier on in the redevelopment.

Unless this development undergoes a "Safeway Towers at Commercial-Broadway skytrain station" trajectory in their journey to get through approvals, I doubt very much Nimby sentiment will soften to allow the taller towers to get back to 70-80 storey heights.

In either case, I'll just be happy to see anything proceeding in the next phases of this project and the old mall be finally be demolished and replaced with new buildings.
