Interesting. Thanks!

If the image is to scale, I measured it to be approximately a 37% increase in platform length. Should make a pretty big difference.

They probably want surge space at the transfer stations.

Is that station getting capacity upgrades for the faregates?

Although potentially the traffic will be similar as so many people go in/out to transfer to E-W bus service.

I don't think so, but the expectation is that most of the transfers will be happening within the station (inside the fare-paid zone), and there will actually be fewer transfers at street level due to the 99 being replaced.

I seem to recall that Translink was making the case that there will actually be fewer people entering/leaving the station because the 99 transfer will turn into a Millennium Line transfer which will stay within the station. Thus there would be no faregate capacity upgrades.

They just started backfilling the east side of Broadway City hall yesterday. The part where the crossover. Caught the first couple trucks unloading.

From the Project twitter Nov 6th:

Closer to the surface than Arbutus.

Here at South Granville Station, crews have completed the underground roof of the station.
Four of the six underground station roofs on the Broadway Subway Project are now complete!

What’s going on with that former gas station. It’s been fenced off for over 5 years now
