Hard to believe but I think the renovations in this building are actually going to happen.
So with The Boyd, restoration & conversion, is it 108 or 99 Residential units?
Both are listed?
Now to save The former Marlborough Hotel.

So I recently got news that the apartment building I live in sold.

The listing is still up, but it includes two buildings and two parking lots.

I am not sure the new owners intentions or plans, but the listing does mention that the parking lots are noted as having redevelopment potential.

Here is the brochure: Brochure

this really feels like "renoviction" as a marketing feature

Yes... the brochure is definitely marketing to a certain kind of investor...

I am very much hoping they don't renovict me... been here 8 years. These buildings have a lot of people from different incomes so it would 🞵🞵🞵🞵 to loose a bunch of these affordable units to some slightly renovated BS.

Similarly we lived in one at 296 Broadway that sold. The new owners brought in Sussex Reality to manage the building. Sussex terminated all the leases and said the owners decided to renovate the building and then jack up the rent by $400.

Looks like 951 Portage Ave was appeal due to perceived lack of parking spaces. Appeal hearing is on November 12.

Whatever happened to the proposal for a new hospital tower at HSC? Is that dead with the government change?

It was a big tower (10 storeys maybe, so not super big) to go right at the front entrance. General hospital bed type thing. Announced by the PC's but for some reason I thought it was at least being reviewed by the NDP, and not outright cancelled. I could Google I suppose.

Best. Rendering. Ever.

My favourite parts are the guy standing stunned in the middle of the massively wide road and the bus driving on the sidewalk.

If I was an incoming government and saw this rendering I’d probably want to review the project too…
