YFC to YOW service for Porter also dovetails nicely for people connecting to other Porter destinations; I've used it for my Edmonton trip and my mom used it for her trip out west. I wish they had more flights to Ottawa available, but I'm happy with what they have now, and doubt AC service will change their schedule that much.
The Bathurst airport will no longer have any scheduled passenger service starting in February.
Not surprising news, but still not great news for Bathurst.
Hopefully this means we see a better funded Maritime Bus system in NB or see the province fund a new airport bus or shuttle system.

Air Transat will no longer operate flights to Orlando from Moncton this winter, opting instead to concentrate on destinations with stronger demand, such as Varadero, Cuba, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and Cancún, Mexico.

“We’re going to have 11 weekly flights. So, it’s the same rotation as last year and we’re going to have Jamaica, Cuba, Mexico and Dominican Republic and brand-new route this year to Holguin, Cuba,” said Guitard.
“We know it’s (Orlando) a popular destination and we hope to see it back in the future.”

WestJet has also adjusted its network schedule, reallocating some flying between Canada and the U.S. in response to shifting demand. The airline is introducing more domestic connectivity across Canada and increasing frequency between Canada and other popular sun destinations, with direct southbound winter flights from several cities, including Deer Lake, Fredericton, Gander, Halifax, Moncton, and St. John’s.
It's not just Moncton losing direct flight options to Orlando this winter:

Air Transat no longer have their own airplanes offering nonstop Halifax to Orlando flights for the winter 2025/26 season. They are choosing to codeshare with Porter airlines on this route using their airplanes.
As mentioned in a previous post, WestJet have cancelled their Halifax to Orlando nonstop flights for the winter season. This route will only be offered during the summer season from May to October.

Interesting. I wonder if YSJ is still seriously considering that proposal for a hotel as well?

News on the YSJ front has been very quiet since the CEO passed away. I am not sure if they have found someone new yet; if not, hopefully they will soon.

I'm sure they are still out there collecting their paycheques. Lots of big Hype a while back. But as always announcement dates come and go.

YSJ's highly touted Pascan flights to YHZ/YHU aren't running today/tomorrow - Yesterday an Air Creebec plane appeared to be flying in on Pascan's behalf. Guessing there's some aircraft maintenance causing this, but doesn't bode well for the service if cancelations are carrying on for a few days.

Flights have had really good passenger loads. I have been in/out of YSJ 4 or 5 times the last month and passenger loads are high! Not sure when AC is going to get the message that YSJ needs more seats.

Thanks for this update. It would be nice to receive news occasionally from the airport through the media. Might be too much to ask. This is good news. Do you confirm this for both Montreal and Halifax? Does the board out there have anyone to answer to about their accomplishments of lack there of? Seems very stagnant out there.
