Its the smaller one. NW corner of 14th and Halifax, but includes the 3 houses all the way to 2166 Halifax. They will be demolished.

Yup, mixed use is ideal for 13 Ave or the General Hospital area. Elsewhere there is insufficient demand.

Density is a lot higher than it used to be. Many consider every new house lot sprawl, but in general the space is being used more responsibly. The smaller lots are causing some issues. The houses with driveways in the Greens are so tightly spaced there is maybe 3/4 less on street parking due there not being enough spaced between houses and the streets being so narrow parking is only permitted on one side. The trend now seems to be town houses and rear parking which adds a lot more on street parking.

Yes the rear parking is much better for narrow lots. I hate the street appeal of the all garage bungalow:

rear parking in the Greens:

A few block away - almost zero street parking:

Pouring the last of the median curbs out at the Grand Coulee roundabout. I had to wait a while before launching the drone since there was a crop sprayer flying around. No access to Grand Coulee there at the moment, need to go 1 grid road west.

Thank you for sharing. Are there any more roundabouts gonna be added to the Regina bypass and what was the dollar figure for this project?

The bypass was completed 5 years ago. Just curious if you actually live in Saskatchewan as it seems you have never seen anything in person yourself and all you do is post links to things.

By the time I got to the Harbour Landing School the drone had trouble flying up wind in Normal mode. The last of the roads in The Towns are being built. I still can't tell if they'll try to connect Arens to Anaquod this year. A sizeable chunk of real estate at the corner of Arens and Kaufman, marked as high density residential but Regina's definition is just apartments. The new retail building in Lewan Crossing looks done. There is a, for lease, sign in every unit so I guess the entire thing was built on spec.

Video flying around the Harbour Landing School foundation piles of which there are many: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woQuqZ2Wxxo
Longer flight over towards Broad and College: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiycmstXvF0

The north Albert ring road bridge had been getting paved for a few days now. Unlike the south bridges they didn't regrade the cloverleaf ramps. I guess they were able to raise the bottom of the bridge without increasing the deck height.

Head of Bunge Canada says the Viterra crushing plant is halfway through its feasibility study. Everything he said about it is negative though: tariff uncertainty in China and the U.S., anticipated softening or delaying requirements for renewable biodiesel, increased capital costs...

Also announce the building at REAL is now called the Bunge International Trade Centre.

Regina Public Library seeking developers to bid on Central Branch renewal project
"This is probably the closest we've come to being able to advance this project." — RPL board chair Marj Gavigan.
This is probably the closest we’ve come to being able to advance this project,” said board chair Marj Gavigan. “The people of Regina have been waiting patiently for this. We’re making progress and that feels pretty good.”

Article content
The RFQ will seek interested developers who can deliver “external components” of a new Central Library. That refers to the outer shell of the project, regardless of whether it’s a new building or a restoration of the existing site.

The Regina Public Library (RPL) is moving ahead with a search for interested developers as the next step in determining the future of its aging Central Branch.

Article content
On Tuesday night, RPL’s board of directors voted in favour of issuing a request for qualifications (RFQ) this fall, which would open up the official bidding process for a new or renovated downtown facility.

A shortlist of three developers is to be selected by the end of December, at which point they’ll be invited to take part in a request for proposals (RFP) this spring to pitch their ideas.

RPL director and CEO Jeff Barber said all options are on the table, whether that means building new, leasing or purchasing an existing building, or renovating the current Central Library.

Clearing the Coopertown area and building a berm bordering the 9th N intersection. North Albert bridge paved and lines painted. Long Term Care building footprint being excavated. Storm drain pipe deliveries to Costco site. All the new sewage pipe along Kent Street is buried and the road is being rebuilt.

Regina Zoning Bylaw requires that “Assembly, Recreation” land-use, and height

exceeding 15m, be reviewed through the Discretionary Use procedure. Portions of
