24C with a humidex of 26 and mainly sunny.

Another beautiful day for tennis.

Low of 14C this morning.

The warmspots were Bow Island and Garden River, AB at 30.0C

Warmest low were Gimli (Harbour) and Emerson, MB at 18.1C.

Fall colours are starting to show in the GTA already. I would guess 1-2 weeks earlier than normal.

Not an expert by any means, but I'm presuming this could be due to the trees being stressed from the long periods we went without rain, and some much cooler than normal night time lows in late August and early September.

Beauty week coming up, last blast of summer. Cooling off to a bit below seasonal for the weekend, then likely seasonal into the week after.

24/25/26/28/22/19 are the highs. All sunshine.

The heatwave finally broke today in the BC interior with low to mid 20s today, but there will be some rebound back to warmth starting tomorrow for this week.

Fog! A rare treat this year. City must feel like putting in moisturizer after a shower.

11C and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM, going up to 22C this afternoon.

We had a bit of rain last night, but, not nearly enough, only a few mm. Just a tease for the grass.

I still have not mowed the lawn since the end of July. The only thing I did yesterday was take down the taller weeds with a weed-whacker. The rest of the lawn remains dormant.

Next tropical wave to keep an eye on:

80% chance of this developing into something within the next seven days. On it's current track, I think the Maritimes will be OK, but Newfoundland might be at risk. This of course all depends on things such as blocking highs etc. Too soon to tell yet.

That photo is inspiring me to join a tennis club again but after 40 years since my last membership, the club will need to match me up with 80 and 90 year olds...Bring it on!

Since I made my post this morning, I see the trajectory has changed. It now seems to be deviating towards the Bahamas. All bets are off.

Famous last words
I've been checking https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ every once in a while and noticed lots of activity but nothing forming or major (newsworthy).
Maybe still early in the season? or it's just a quiet season

Abnormally quiet season. The ridging of the jet stream and ongoing high pressure system in eastern North America seems to be keeping things under control.

Same here in Vancouver, I was noticing the color change at the end of August (city lined street trees) and now looking out the window even more yellows and reds leaves.
Very stressed from a record breaking summer.

Edit: 2 hours later - waiting for shadows to move.

That tree to the most right is the last to go autumn colors, so much so that in January leaves (brown) are still hanging on.

23C and sunny. Just pure blue sky and light wind. No complaints. I cannot believe the dryness. Dewpoint under 10C at some point this afternoon. Exactly 365 days ago we had a similar warm period (without being anything record breaking) and the dewpoints were 13, 16, 17, 16, 15.... I checked 4 random days (out of the 9 consecutive above 25C between Sept 12-20) but those are more normal dewpoints for September.

Low of 12C this morning.

The warmspot was Sandy Lake, ON at 31.4C. Very impressive that every day this September has seen some place hit 30C.

Warmest low was Winnipeg (the Forks), MB at 20.4C. Very impressive to record a tropical this time of the year. Unfortunately, it will not hold to make it official.

10C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM, going up to 25C this afternoon.

Summer refuses to let go.

25C (humidex of 26) and sunny. 9.5 out of 10 day. Would have been 10 if dewpoint was around 16-17C instead of 10-11C.

This is most likely the same cruise ship from SHH's second image considering it was in St John's on Sept 7th (https://www.cruisemapper.com/ships/Amadea-555).

Low of 11C this morning. That's the issue with the dry weather and low dewpoint, mornings are chillier than you would expect for 25C high even at this time of the year.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 33.4C. Absolute insanity. The September heat wave in BC has to be the 2025 #1 weather story of the year so far.

Warmest low was Sioux Lookout, ON at 18.9C.

Same here except the high dew point actually was 17.8. We've had a solid week straight of days just like this

We saw a high of 26 C in Timmins today. And it was the first fully sunny day we've had in quite awhile. Warm again tomorrow but with showers and possibly thunderstorms.

Clear, sunny, warm and dry. It may be summer's last blast. I'll be putting my portable air conditioner away in a couple of days.

Tuesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 24 C (27 C w/Humidex), the low was 13 C.
