Well that's true enough. All we can hope for now is that there is more development on the southwest transit corridor itself. What I meant was building small pedestrian focused shopping areas along the blue line so that riders had some destinations that are right on the line.
It’s quite noticeable now heading east on Taylor from around Cambridge. This building and phase two across the road will definitely change the look of the area.
Is it common to see construction laborers working on projects like this on the weekends? I saw people installing windows on both Saturday and Sunday when I drove past.
It’s not common per se but certainly not wildly unusual. The glazing contractor is probably motivated to be finished before the deep freeze to maximize profits, or landed too many contracts and has to hustle hard to meet.
Given that it is now September, I wouldn't blame them either. Mariah is already thawing, and having the glazing up as quickly as possible is essential.
