That's a reasonable take. But then perhaps it raises the confusion of.. are you advocating for the building itself or the neighbourhood. Personally I think the Claridge script is nice enough that it doesn't bother me.
When did writing the name of your building on top become a thing? I'm going to go back to the mid 2000s with builds like St.George and Metropole. That wasn't a thing with them. Even some of the higher end builds in downtown like Hudson park and The Gardens circa early 2010s don't have that.
I feel like it started with SOHO.
It's honestly kind of cheesy and I could do without it. By all means.. name your building and have a placard over the front entrance or driveway. But plastering it in human sized plus letters across the top of your mechanical penthouse is just.. cheesy man.
