Everyone is free to compare whatever they want as long as their numbers are precise and it is clear what those are for. Which I do (at least try to every single time).
Your numbers however are misleading to make look BC as best as it can. Your previous signature was the perfect example, said "Lytton, Canada's hottest city". This is false because Windsor is a bit warmer in the summer. You might be heartbroken by that fact but it's what the data shows, not up for debate.

Your posts are filled with hate for Eastern Canada but especially Ontario/Quebec. And god forbids someone has something better than BC, that would be the end of you.

I really hope we get a deluge of rain, although I have my doubts. Some sites are predicting an atmospheric river, and then I see others are saying maybe 5 mm for Victoria. Yes, there would be much more up island where we really need it for a couple large forest fires, but not sure if it'll be enough.

I'm not much of a weather stats guy, but I did come across this Reddit post from a local guy who is - ask him anything about Victoria weather and Victoria weather records and he knows it. He can detail the exact rain shadow effect of the Olympic Mountains and how it's centered across the straight in Sequim.

He shared a precipitation chart from July 1 to August 12 for cities across Canada.

Victoria has a total of 3.2 mm of rain, followed by Van at 37.1, Toronto at 104.1, Calgary at 210.7 and a bunch of other cities.

His summary:

While Victoria has seen the least rainfall, other regions of Canada have experienced much greater rainfall deficits compared with their typical summer rainfall. Victoria is about 15 mm below normal in rainfall since July 1, while cities in Atlantic Canada are about 80 mm below normal and Ottawa is nearly 70 mm below normal.

Here's hoping for rain from coast to coast and a national strategy to better mitigate and address forest fires for next year. Yes, nature will nature but the effects on our health year after year are not insignificant.

Low of 21C (humidex of 25) this morning. There was still left over warmth from the heat wave still which is why we had a tropical low.

A refreshing 17C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM. Humidity is broken. It feels normal out. Going up to 25C this afternoon.

It only rained for about 15 minutes yesterday. Nothing more than a tease, but, I suppose it's better than nothing. The long range remains dry, although there is a chance of some showers Sunday overnight.

The Irishtown fire north of Moncton is contained and is being patrolled. Several new fires however in northeastern NB.

I've learned a lot about construction and specific construction projects from your work, so kudos!

Speaking of rain - steady but light rain here in Victoria, but at least yesterday we got 6.4 mm at Gonzales, which is literally double all the rain we've received since July 1, so it's something. From what I can tell Port Alberni only got 2.9 yesterday, which is unusual, so I hope they get dumped on soon as they really need it.
