streaked with dark grey where the rain washes off the soot, and it is stale and grubby looking, esp' close up.
I know for a fact that they have a new location signed up and that there will be residences, but I do not know where. I know it will also be a new build and not a conversion. It will also be in a different location.
This proposal seems to have a lot of amenity space relative to other proposals and the rooms are relatively large in the 400+ SF range, which points towards the upper segment

I doubt it will be a Four Seasons. They have remained pretty insistent that they either return to their old location or end up on the water.
A rebrand of the Fairmont Waterfront or Pan Pacific seem more likely Four Seasons destinations to me. Or a curveball and something on the False Creek side.
What about Marcon’s planned hotel on the old Roseellen site on Barclay as a Four Seasons? Not as good a location for business travellers but it does include a rooftop pool.

Marcon hasn't signed anyone for that property but they have been in discussions with Ace Hotels and Standard Hotels for their Seymour location
There will also be a new Fairmont hotel and residences at Oakridge (not sure if it's at Oakridge Park or the Peterson tower across the street). Oakridge Park was supposed to also have a Porsche Design tower in Phase 2, not sure if it's still happening
Ace might get sold to a new Japanese transport/hotel group but it seemed like they were still trying to do more international expansion. I wonder if Hilton wants to bring NoMad to Vancouver?
Last year before Hyatt bought them they seemed to have Vancouver in their pipeline at Standard Hotels

It doesn't have a dedicated service elevator that opens to BOH space, so it'll probably a lower end or select service property

No public info, it was internal from Westbank but given that they are now project managers and don't have ownership in the project anymore along with the market changes, I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't materialize

Accor manage the three Fairmont hotels in Vancouver (and those in Richmond and Whistler), but they don't own them. They also now manage the Hotel Belmont on Granville Street. It's entirely the decision of the developer/ owner of new hotels who they choose as operators, and Accor is one of a long list of businesses, with multiple brands who might be considered, but they haven't invested anything in developing projects in Vancouver.

Nearly two years after the project first became subject to foreclosure proceedings, the Davie & Nicola project in the West End of Vancouver has been sold to a new developer, according to filings in the Supreme Court of British Columbia obtained by STOREYS.
The Davie & Nicola project was being developed by Align Properties — known as Vivagrand Developments before later rebranding — and was set for 1485 Davie Street, about three blocks away from English Bay Beach and Sunset Beach.
For the site, Align Properties was planning a 21-storey tower with 128 strata units and 51 social housing units. The rezoning application was submitted in 2017 and the development permit application was approved in October 2018, according to a City report discussing the City's acquisition of the social housing units, but the project never reached the construction stage.
BC Assessment values the property at $39,605,000 in an assessment dated to July 1, 2024, and the property remains occupied by a 51-unit apartment building. The property was beneficially owned by Align Properties through VK (Westend) Investment Limited Partnership under 1034907 BC Ltd.
