It likely won't. Suburban Salt Lake has to have one of the most aggressive NIMBY populations out there.
Sandy is a great example of this. They have taken a massive step back over the years. Remember when leaders were advocating for high-rises and building out a dense core?
Yeah - not anymore.
The best hope for anything substantive height-wise outside of downtown remains the Granary District (if you don't include it as downtown), the Power District and SugarHouse. Outside Salt Lake City proper, I could see Millcreek (tho they're limited in land) or Holladay ... maybe West Valley (and I have little hope for the prison site out in Draper having anything remotely 'tall').
