Halifax has 2024 TEU figures: down (-6.8%) from 2023 and down (-15.4%) from 2022. Was in Halifax over weekend and was following truck hauling container to port on Barrington St. / Cogswell interchange area - moving at a snails pace through downtown traffic and this was at off-peak hours. Just wondering if this is a factor in SJ getting more business with port being located right on a highway entrance/exit. Halifax desperately needs the new We'kopekitk rail terminal but I haven’t heard any update on it since end of 2023.
