[QUOTE=bodaggin;10413225]LNG Canada is fed by the Coastal Gas Link pipeline, which took 4 long years to approve. Too long. Even after approval, it was plagued by legal challenges and protests.
When we talk "corridors", we're talking a pre-approved swath of land that pipes, rail, roads etc can build on. Pre-approved basically, on a designated route to tidewater. A blank canvas, so to speak. This takes the risk out of building for companies. Same goes for ports.
Of the 11 largest
cancelled LNG proposals worldwide, 8 were in Canada. Over 180 million tons per year, cancelled.

We are strangling our country. We would be the largest LNG producing country worldwide by a factor of 2, if all these projects were approved swiftly.[/QUOTE
Stephen Harper was Prime Minister for nine years and zero LNG projects got built in Canada.
Also, there were zero pipelines built to tide water during that time.
Currently there is three LNG projects under construction in Canada, with a fourth beginning construction this year. There is also a possibility that LNG Phase 2 gets the go ahead.
Do you realize that energy projects need Provincial and Indigenous buy it for the projects to be sucessful?
