I cannot imagine how PP can recover from this.

And this is even with Carney's (self admitted) C grade abilities in French. So far, most Quebecers seem to be willing to give him a pass on this (a tremendous shock to liojack, I would imagine).

Quebecers tend to vote with a herd instinct. In this election, the herd is stampeding towards the LPC.

The only potential roadblock will be the upcoming French language debate. If Carney can survive this, then the election will be a foregone conclusion.

"If the US no longer wants to lead, then Canada will.". Powerful words. Veritably Churchillian.

Carney is inspiring, and breeds confidence and trust. I mean, how can you not want to vote for this guy when the alternative is the perpetually peevish and petulant Pierre Poillievre.
“Carneymania” explained:

Quebec voters don’t take federal elections that seriously (the elephants in the room, healthcare, education, etc. are provincially run) so it’s easy to vote for the flavor of the month. 2011, in recent memory, was actually even more ridiculous than a Carney landslide would be this year. I mean, FFS, plenty of people who had no idea in which approximate corner of Quebec their ridings were, got elected!!

There’s no telling whether this Carneymania will last until e-day, but it actually might.
