Poilievre will be remembered for squandering the biggest lead in possibly Canadian politics history and then losing, and then getting demoted from party leader.

A great legacy.

SSP enlightenment logic:

When a Liberal gets elected by their peers they are selflessly serving their country.

When a Conservative gets elected by their peers they are mooching off taxpayers.

half the kids on manitoba’s federally run reserves are living in poverty, garden hill First Nation still has homes without indoor plumbing. Over 60% of on reserve residents in manitoba are food insecure, some estimates put food insecurity at over 30% across the entire province.

This is with a horn tootin’ poverty fighting liberal government, and an NDP provincial government, you’d think they’d be dealing with it, but poverty increased again last year, food bank lines got longer.

Where’s your conscience?

Why do you have a problem with someone earning their pension, especially a young person who worked hard to get ELECTED, and represent his community. I certainly don’t have a problem with it and neither do most Canadians.

The issue with jagmeet is he sold out canadians. Yes, he sold out Canadians who were completely over the prime minister and the liberal party at the time, to secure his pension. His actions back in November December more or less proved this.

And clearly lots of Canadians agree, he’s a bad leader who made bad decisions time and time again propping up trudeau, when everyone else had already had more than enough.

At a high level that is exactly the conclusion that can be made. Focusing in on the numbers though, polls out today still show a ~40% support for the CPC, which is more than enough historically to get a majority government.

So the conclusion could be made that the complete collapse of the NDP and BQ allowed for an LPC government, rather than complete collapse in support for the CPC.

I’d be more sympathetic to your stance, if it wasn’t so one sided.

And I worked in selkirk Manitoba we used to see Vince Lee… the guy who beheaded and ate someone’s face on a bus outside portage la prairie… walking around town unsupervised, no biggie. Vince was the real victim here after all, because of his mental illness. Not the guy he ate.

I don’t think the conservatives did that lol

The don't trust the polls copium has arrived.

Polling in Canada is actually really good, better and more accurate the the US. You can see the accuracy of all the pollsters on 338 for yourself. Check out the recent polling in BC where they were basically spot on in the provincial election.

Do the "no one answers polls" folks apply the same logic when the CPC were projected to win a super majority?

Or course polls aren't voters, you still need turnout but the CPC needs to lead by 4 or 5 in the popular vote to produce a government and are currently down by anywhere from 5-10. They need a 10% swing in the next few weeks.

No, he didn't sell out Canadians. And I think right now, lots of people are glad he didn't. Selling out Canadians would have actually been him participating in making Pierre Prime Minister last fall. Pierre is much further away from Singh than Trudeau was, politically, it's ridiculous that Conservatives like Singh should have defeated Trudeau for their own benefit, with no upward prospects for the NDP.

Canadian journalist Sam Cooper just showed up on Laura Loomer’s show and basically invited Donald Trump to commit foreign interference to help Pierre Poilievre win. Cooper has worked for the Vancouver Sun and Global News in the past.
