Perhaps they want to have the alternative candidate lined up first or they are working on getting the candidate to resign.

It's not a great look that Carney has sort of hid away this weekend, but it'll be an even worse look if they don't remove Chiang.

Yea the barbaric practices hotline was one of the more despicable things that Harper did. Clearly a dog whistle to the far right wing section of Canada. Even his management of financial side of government was disappointing. The reduction of GST to a point where there was no government surplus and the reduction of investment into health, housing, and social programs really hurt the country in the long run.
He’s still up to those antics. Danielle Smith appointed him in place of an independent board for our public employees’ pension fund (Aimco), after she undemocratically fired them. Just like her wanting to pull out of CPP the idea is to syphon off as much investment money into oil and gas companies as possible (while not investing in green energy). Helmet hair is the CPC’s Dr. Frankenstein.
Definite trust issues for PP to address. I'm surprised that the two are so close in the life more affordable question - I would have thought advantage PP, based on the campaign.
The affordability question probably reflects a general feeling like the economy is in rough shape and keeping prices under control is going to be a rough job as long as the tradewar/tariffs are going on. Carney may be the best able to handle it, but there isn't much hope that anyone is able to keep prices under control.
If the Liberals don't have a field day comparing Pierre dropping the pizza he was making with his kid in a publicity stunt to Stanfield dropping the football 50 years ago, their comms teams needs to be fired.

While I plan to vote LPC, like Carney, and detest PP, I find it curious that the LPC/anti-CPC crowd are more focused on spilled pizzas than what Chiang said and the reluctance of Carney to respond. The LPC have known about this for a while, yet vetted and approved Chiang. Carney should have dropped him IMMEDIATELY (even it they couldn't get a replacement). But hey, PP dropped a pizza.
