Citicorp Center is listed but money talks and BS walks... Always wanted it to be reclad and maybe the top opened up for like a sky garden I think it's all mechanical up there though.

Now let's get 270 lit up

270 Park Lighting Up!

Looks like they are testing the lights on 270 Park Ave. Last night I took pictures but unfortunately I don’t know how to navigate this webpage. I only see an option to upload images via URL.

Anyway, the lights were being tested on all 4 sides of the tower. It seems the diamonds will be illuminated beautifully as I had hoped they would.
What I did not expect were north and south facades having lights run from the bottom all the way up to the top. Each column was illuminated individually, like string lights rising to the top. This tower will be an absolute stunner at night, a significant addition to the NYC nighttime skyline!

They've been testing for a while, but I haven't seen it yet. It will be glorious! Especially with the crown thrown into the mix.

If 270 ends up looking like this at night, it will instantly become the most stunning skyscraper in New York. No doubt about it.

It is coming along very nicely. Will the cross braces be lit as well? If so, that will look fantastic.

What's stopping them from just turning on all the lights at once?

It's easy to see how this tower lit up at night will become an instant icon on the skyline...

Lighting is looking great! Looks like they are testing segments at a time to troubleshoot any issues before turning them all at once.

I'm curious if they are testing them at full brightness but will later dim them to a desired level. Considering they span the height of the tower and not just the crown, hey seem pretty bright right now (not that I'm complaining)

Looks extremely ominous at night! Also looks like the diamond bracing finally reached the top, based on that last photo?
