Buffalo Crossing at the south entrance to Fort Whyte Alive.

Sorry about the size of the photos. If anyone knows how to resize these, let me know.

Fort Whyte Alive is one of the most underrated places in the city. It's a great place to jog, cycle, or just take the family.

Are we looking at the same images? Definitely closer to 50.
I looked back and counted the floors, it looks like 46 or 47 and then one or two maintenance floors. Would definitely be the new tallest, as this design also has a giant fin on top lol.

The same jokers had a similar project lined up for Regina, just not as tall. They actually started digging out the underground portion before their house of cards collapsed. Regina had an empty hole for a long time before the city (I believe) filled it in. It's an empty lot now.

From what I was able to find out, the hole cost the City of Regina 3 Million to fill in. It was reported the City has added this cost to the outstanding reality taxes owed on the lot.

Hmmm...you're right based on that render. The version I recall clocked in at 30+ floors and was 138 meters tall. I mean, I guess we could cram 45-50 floors in that height but those would be some pretty low ceilings. Now I'm wondering when this version came out because it can't be the same one.

A 50 storey building should finally crack the 500ft mark here in Winnipeg. 300 Main was constricted by the existing foundation in how tall the overall building could be. I believe they crammed in as many floors as possible under that restricted height. I would hope that if this new building gets built it would come in closer to 600ft. I feel that 600ft is were a building actually starts being tall.

What jerks those guys were. However, why did it take 7 years to charge them? Seems the wheels of justice turn very slow.

Another thing I've noticed is that when driving north down main street towards P&M there is a huge gap in the skyline. It looks like two giant clusters of buildings on each side of the road, with a giant gap in the middle. If a 50 storey tower were to be built in that lot next to 201 portage it wouldn't completely close that gap, but it'd eat up a large bulk of it.

My wish for Main St South would be, on the East side between Union Station & up to Boujee, the old Earls and west side between Broadway & St Mary Ave..is having a couple of mid-rise or -high-rise residential buildings each.
The 416 Main street lot is embarrassing being empty for 46 years now, Being right near P & M.
The 2 lots where and near St Regis hotel was taken down, would help the skyline greatly if any super tall towers were to get built. The building some are referring to was to be similar height to 300 Main but more floors because of the many levels of parkade, which have lower heights than apartment's.
Let's just hope something grand in height gets announced soon.

There's construction fencing and an excavator in the overgrown lot on the north side of the Roxy Lanes. Not sure if that lot is part of the MMF development or if it's for something else

I believe it is.

Also the smaller lot area north of the building IIRC. But could be wrong on that part.

I saw a post the building is being demod.
