The century initiative thing just seems to be the new WEF. This is only gonna attract an extremely online interest.
I can't find it right now but I believe the population growth under harper would have got us to almost 90 million by 2100. Is it really that much of a difference?
The whole thing is just so abstract and far away I dont see how you can have a meaningful conversation about it. How fast can we build homes in 30 years? 50 years? AI is going to be so advanced by then what does a typical job look like? I honestly cant even comprehend what society will look like then with how much turmoil there is going on right now.
People vote mostly on stuff based on their current situation not how things look in 75 years. This is why the carbon tax was such an easy attack for conservatives. "I can get rid of that 17 cents on that pump" but people dont do the math on the rebates.
