The Houthi rebels in Yemen are deadly enemies to Israel, putting trade in their country / region at stake.
That must be the reason why the current US administration is getting involved.
Israel seems to be the very last of their allies they're still faithful to. It is currently run by a hard-line right-wing coalition.
Moreover, as a Shia movement, the Houthis are closely tied to Iran. And Trump deeply hates Iran, to the point that it would almost be irrational, or so I heard.
