Burtch & Harvey Redevelopment (Develop Kelowna): https://developkelowna.ca/projects/burtch-harvey-redevelopment

Incredibly unlikely tho, doubt they'd really put that many tall buildings THERE.
It’s right across Harvey from the Landmark District so you never know!

These should only be built once the Clement Ave extension is completed, to the airport or at least to 33. Traffic from the bridge to Dilworth is a complete —, especially around Burtch. Building these without any new road upgrades to the area would be really dumb.

That said perhaps in the very, very long term the infilling between the CBD and the downtown will make the skyline very impressive for its size by the middle of the century...

If you haven't seen these, well worth checking out for some awesome drone work and views from Anthony Urso who normally does Winnipeg drone work:

Oh God, I find watching landscape videos in portrait format so obnoxious.

Is there a full screen version?

I started following the videographer on YouTube so if they appear there I'll repost. You can also watch it on your phone or tablet just turn it sideways for the full screen view.

Some updates from the top of Bertram tower, unfortunately their pool isnt open yet so there wasnt access to the roof top patio, but pretty cool to see the "Sky Pool" situated on the 34th floor above downtown Kelowna.

UBCO tower (43 storey, 495') raft slab is on going, tower crane erected.

1333 Bertram tower (19 storey) looks to be moving onto the 4th floor slab above the parking podium

Some shots of Bertram towers infinity Sky pool, pretty incredible views from the top of the tower.

Throw in the Mill Redevelopment in 10-15 years and this end of the city will be unrecognizable.

That's a slick pool. It's too bad they didn't raise it, or lower the overflow side so you couldn't see the black posts. All the work they went to for the infinity affect and it's gone with those black posts in the way.

It appears as though the original rendered design had the intent to have a frameless glass guard rail system, I am inclined to suspect on an engineering constraint on the type of system to withstand the concentrated load requirement. You can see on the outside fascia the posts span quiet a distance to the floor level below.

Here is the other direction from my previous post, this one facing South looking at the 19 storey 1333 Bertram rental tower in the foreground, and the UBCO 43 storey tower in the center right with the red tower crane.

Thanks for the update.

Those houses are going to be surrounded by much larger buildings in due time.

Does anyone here know why the development at the Ledge on Lakeshore has seemingly stalled? There were workers on site today when I drove by but no substantial progress on the towers for what feels like a year or more.

I don't think any significant work has been done since the townhouses and parking structure was built. I don't know much about Westcorp but they are also the ones that proposed the hotel/condos DT behind Kelly O's. They've clearly spent a bunch of money on the Ledge site (assuming they pay contractors) so i doubt they are going to walk away. Probably waiting for the next boom.

The view of downtown from the Bridge looks incredible now that the waterstreet by the park project is almost done.
I was in Kelowna for the weekend and took this picture on the way out back to vancouver.

Heres a few more pics from around downtown

Crane on the right is where the 43 story UBCO tower will be. The crane on the left is where a 19 story apartment building will be.

Hope you enjoyed this photos. I plan to be in Kelowna for the entire month of July so I will take many more.

Wow, great pictures! Thanks.

Water street by the park are definitely the best looking high rises downtown.
