The frequent wind and numerous storms of your region is one of the most fascinating, exciting and spectacular aspects of the climate of the Maritimes. I love cold oceanic climates. The trees bending in the wind, the very sound of the wind blowing between the buildings of the cities, the stormy sea, etc., are exciting aspects of nature. :sbarazzino:

I completely understand what you're saying. I imagine that living in a place where temperatures drop below freezing, snow falls, and blizzards occur must be quite challenging and sometimes even dangerous. However, for enthusiasts like me who love cold and snowy climates like the one in your city, there is a more poetic and fun side to it.

Mix of sun and clouds today, 4C. Seems winter is pretty much done with us. Mild week upcoming, potential temperatures in the teens. Areas of SW Ontario may flirt with 20C.

There are hints of spring in the long range forecast. Quite sunny for the upcoming week. Projected high temperatures are +1C, +9C, +4C, 0C, +4C and +11C
Yeah, until you slip and break your elbow! When we were 15 years old a bunch of us decided to go play tackle football on the same kind of surface because of our youthful stupidity. The next day we all showed up to school limping and showing off our bruises. We could have had fractures for all I know, but no one wanted to show "weakness".
Haha. I did that too around the same age. It was a small one but that was when I broke a bone for the only time in my life.
+11C on Saturday and a lot of our snow is gone. But.........Sunday temps fell to -7 and snow rain mix. This morning just a bit on snow but lots of ice. Jasper Marmot Basin got 41 cm.
Double digits and sunny and suddenly flies are everywhere. Saw one yesterday. Today eight were on the back of my car. And already killed two in my house. I used outdoor fly traps for the first last summer. Collected hundreds. I made the mistake of leaving one up at the cottage while we went back home. BIL showed up five days later and said the stench was unbearable from 15 feet away. Will have to see if it’s going to be another bad year for flies.

For me it's ladybugs (coccinelles). If we get even a bit of warm sun this week I will start seeing them in my house. The eggs have been there for years I guess.

Yeah, saw two the past couple days as well. One inside and one on the deck.
Big dump in the mountains over the weekend, and lots more on the way this week! hopefully enough to bring the snowpack closer to normal levels! very worried about drought this year...
