Edit: I've spent some more time looking into the organization. It seems the director is Rick Lees, who was previously "ousted" as director from Main Street Project. It seems like the guy has a shady past:

I've also noticed that the both "Supportive Housing" and "Financial Reports" pages on their website don't work. Seems like something fishy is going on.

I'm no fan of corten steel, but the structure itself looks amazing. Does anyone have a number on how many residential spaces the two phases of Market Lands are going to provide? Is there the potential for several hundred (maybe a thousand??) new residents in the area? I know there's no single project that can turn around an area, but this one seems to really help the area in a significant manner.

Chinatown apartments 54
128 on Pacific
128 for Barcelona block.
96 on James
148 on East Portage
90 on Bannatyne

There are some smaller projects as well, so I'd say 1000 is a conservative number.

40,000 sf of commercial space in phase 2.

I believe there's 103 units in the first building, with 20,000 sf of commercial.

So, 378 units and 60,000 sf of commercial total. Not counting the market building in phase 3.

A pretty significant hub of employment and housing.
