I am fairly tall (6'4") and the more recent CRJ's all have more legroom and space in the seats compared to 737s.

My biggest complaint was always how narrow the seats are, especially the very limited shoulder room. I find the small diameter fuselage really cramped and a bit claustrophobic in the stretched versions like the 900. (The longer the tube the skinnier it seems)
I've flown the RJ's a lot from the Maritimes to YYZ and find the westbound flights at 2:20-2:30 duration really push my tolerance for these little commuters. I very much prefer the A220's and the E 195's. Sometimes I've chosen to connect through Montreal to avoid the extra time on the little plane. (an hour and a bit on a Dash 8 is preferable to 2+ on an RJ to me.

Now, I've been fortunate enough to fly business on the CRJ 900 a few times and that's a different story. Book one of the single "A" seats that are by themselves and you will have a very comfortable flight.

Block time (gate to gate) is 3:05, but it should be less than that on most days as well, especially if no de-icing is required in YVR.

The benefit of having a CRJ900 on the route is that AC can give you double daily service. Next month, the route reverts to an A321 I believe, but only a single flight a day is offered. There's benefits and drawbacks to everything.

Once again, I'm going to copy the Canadian hub info he posted, for convenience, but everything I post here is directly from the link above. All info is based on the week of June 11-17.

Weekly seat count by airline hub

YYZ - AC: 296,916
YUL - AC: 177,378
YYC - WS: 172,652
YVR - AC: 148,358

He only included hubs with a seat count of 90,000+, hence why no WS info at YYZ/YVR.

YYC - WS: 1,172
YUL - AC: 1,124
YVR - AC: 1,048

Total Number of Destinations Served by Single Airline Hub

On a separate note, the RCAF in partnership with CAE and KF Aerospace have selected the King Air 260 to replace their King Air 90s.

So the Pickering Airport is officially dead as the Feds are turning it into a park. Now the GTA can concentrate on figuring out which smaller regional airport to expand.

On the airliners.net Porter thread someone is claiming that the LGA slots are a three year lease from Jetblue.

Porter also announcing YOW-YYJ 4x weekly from May 15, operating on opposite days as 3x weekly LAS.

Yeah just what we need more scrub land turned into a distant park. Guess there isn't a housing crisis.

Why expand any regional airport?

Nothing succeeds like excess.

Meanwhile, in NB, nobody seems interested in providing trans-border service of any kind to either Boston or NYC.

Sure, there are flights from Halifax, but, there is really no intercity connector service in the Maritimes. If you want to get to Boston from Fredericton (for example) you first have to drive to Halifax (five hours), arriving at least two hours beforehand, followed by the flight itself to Boston (90 minutes), followed by another hour to get your luggage and get a cab downtown. Total = 9-10 hours.

You can drive to Boston from Freddy in about seven hours...........
