New building permits are registered for 147 McAllister Drive, (space next to Tim Hortons). "Interior Renovations For New Tenant Fit Up".

Anyone know what will be going here? (Blaze Pizza was supposed to open here a couple years ago, but they've pulled out of opening in Saint John and Moncton).

So this will be a different tenant coming soon. The space is 3,691 square feet.

Another World VR Arena is coming soon. Two Kennebecasis Regional Police officers have partnered up to open a franchise location. They hope to have it up and running in April. Currently they are in negotiations for a space on the east side to accommodate 12 players at once. Another World VR Arena has locations in other countries around the world. https://another-world.com/

My City Life Consignment at 90 Consumers Drive has announced online that they are closing their doors. However they will undergo a renovation and reopen as “My City Thrift”. Becoming purely just a thrift store, no longer consignment. They are describing the new format as “Value Village meets ReStore”.

Work is finally underway for JYSK at 384 Lancaster Avenue. Today construction workers were spotted inside the building working away on the interior renovations.

I'm excited for it, but the JYSK project has to be the slowest retail renovation I've ever seen.

Stacked will be worth it. I've gone a few times here in Moncton. They're basic, but quite good.

I wonder how much Denny's will shake things up when they arrive in Moncton. The market is getting crowded (Pur & Simple, IHOP, Cora's, Stacked, Big Stop etc), plus all the independents like Homestead and Hynes...........

Yeah, that segment seems to be pretty crowded. SJ doesn't have an IHOP but there is a Sunset Grill as well as Pur & Simple and Cora's. (along with Big Stop and other local diner types.) We also have slightly more upscale pubs like Britt's or Cask & Kettle that do breakfast/brunch menus. Then there are all the national fast food chains that seem to be pushing breakfast items pretty hard in recent years.

You have to wonder just how big the breakfast "pie" actually is?

What a great spot for some sort of residential component as well. What a view of the whole city from up there!

So it's got the holy trinity of Maritime retail: Dollarama, Dooly's, and Tim Horton's.

If you google them and look at the site plan they have a rendering with a Hart store planned for it.

Wow! I haven't even thought of this place for years. I think the last time I was there the anchor store was a Woolco and there was a DQ brazier restaurant in the mall

It will be interesting to see what develops.
