It certainly would be nice to see infrastructure built to keep up with the growth. Adding 40,000 people in 4 years to a metro the size of Saskatoon is significant. For example, how much longer do we have to wait for a proper overpass/interchange to be constructed at Marquis and Idylwyld by the north Costco?? Sheesh. There are two bedroom communities to the north of Saskatoon each with populations approaching 15,000. And you have Saskatoon growing at a fast clip. And yet we still have to put up with an at-grade intersection with lights at Marquis and Idylwyld causing traffic backups as far as the eye can see at certain times of the day. It's ridiculous. I don't begrudge Regina getting their bypass with countless overpasses and interchanges, but why can't Saskatoon get ONE proper overpass/interchange built at THE key intersection routing people in and out of Saskatoon heading to Martensville and Warman -- two of Saskatchewan's fastest growing communities?? Makes no sense.
