London is most definitely not a part of any extended metro, except its own. It stands there, almost alone, in SW Ontario, with nary a large twin or triplet or quadruplet (take that, KWCG...). What do we have as our hinterland? St. Thomas. Ingersoll. Strathroy. Woodstock (maybe). Everything else is a small town or village (e.g., Ilderton, Dorchester, Mt. Brydges, Lucan, Komoka, Killworth).
