-14C (windchill -23) and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM. Coldest day of the season so far.

Apparently more snow on the way for Christmas Eve. A good old fashioned Christmas for a change.

We had an extreme cold weather warning last night into this morning, it has since ended. Thought I might as well experience what could be our coldest temperature of the winter so headed out for the sunrise. Temperature got down to -18.

A chilly -15C (windchill -23) and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM. It is fairly calm out however, and, with no wind, a temperature like this is easily tolerable.

Snow tomorrow, an Alberta Clipper, with about 5-10 cm expected.

We peaked at .03 yesterday at 9 pm. Overnight low was -1.9 and currently it's 0.5 and still snowing. Meanwhile, out on Sable Island the temp is 9.1 which is lower than the high for today which was 10.6 at 4 am.

It's currently negative 2 out, and we're expecting 5-10 cm of snow, the high is about 0C, before going down a titch tonight to negative 1.
I just took this an hour ago from my balcony, but we're getting snow throughout the day so it'll be nice and pretty the whole day.
I'm planning on just grocery shopping today, so this weather is fine.

Unseasonably warm temperatures across British Columbia broke records for Dec. 22 in several areas Saturday, according to Environment Canada.

West Vancouver reached a high of 15.2 C, shattering the previous record of 13.2 C, set Dec. 22, 1986.

Prince Rupert beat a record that was in place for more than 60 years, reaching 14.8 C, compared with 11.7 C set in 1960.

The oldest record broken was in Estevan Point, which reached 13.8 C, beating the 13.3 C seen in 1940.

Qualicum Beach — with a new record of 13.1 C, beating 1967’s record of 11.7 C — and Port Hardy (new record 11.3 C, beating 10.7 C in 2005)...

Meanwhile we had our first -20 degree low in nearly 3 years here (well, at the airport at least). Quite a contrast!

It's already warming up with temps approaching +10 towards the end of the week - but we have had enough snow and cold to likely be a white Christmas come Wednesday (with it melting basically immediately afterwards).

-8C with a wind chill of -13 and overcast. Absolutely no going outside today.

Low of -16C (wind chill of -22) early this morning.

The warmspots were Sheringham Point and Sisters Island, BC at 11.8C.

Warmest low was Sisters Island, BC at 8.8C.

Rained all last evening, will not be a white Christmas here, but it must have snowed quite a bit closer to London, as the London CBC radio said there would be a white Christmas for the listening area. It will be quite mild this week, with highs up to 11 by Saturday and Sunday.
