Slight haze from various wildfires across the country (and Canada) during the summer. It's since dissipated in the last couple of weeks.

Wouldn't have been my first thought. Sears Tower seems entirely more symmetrical.

If just sticking to Chicago, I would think the Hudson's closer siblings would be One Chicago Square or NEMA.

Yeah, comparisons to One Chicago and NEMA Chicago have been made in this thread going back years.

But NEMA's massing is clearly an homage to the Sears Tower, so........

I thought that too when I looked at it, but I was just generally looking at the asymmetrical nature of the stepped setbacks.
