Beautiful fall day but a chance of showers. Went for a little drive around the county.

First stop was supposed to be a hike a with a view at the end but it ended up being overgrown. A couple farm fields along the way though.

Rice Lake

Cottage on an island

Oak Heights, which sits pretty well at the eastern edge of the Oak Ridges Moraine

Lastly, Lake Ontario

Really nice weather, high of 15.4 yesterday and 14.6 today, nothing but sunshine. Risk of freezing tonight, the weather models have quite a range for my exact location, anywhere from 1 to 4 by morning. It's clear and calm, so I wouldn't be surprised if it dips below zero

Decided to check out the trail while I waited for the pizza I ordered to be prepared. Remarkably dry fall so far. Everywhere I go, the water levels are down. The creek here might as well not even exist. Can't tell it's there with all that fallen foliage and you can't see any current.

Very true, mostly imported into suburban neighbourhoods. Although, we do have some native deciduous: the Rocky Mountain Maple, Aspen, Pacific Willow etc which are a found mostly around wetland areas.

I guess the trade off is with all the conifer trees, we do get green foliage all winter long....

12C and sunny. Gusty (40 km/h) from time to time so not quite pleasant.

Low of 9C this morning. We are freezing either tomorrow morning or Monday morning.

The warmspot was Medicine Hat, AB at 20.3C.

Warmest low was Discovery Island, BC at 10.9C.

There was some rain overnight and again in the evening but the day was dry, calm, mild and mostly overcast.

Saturday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 14 C, the low was 10 C.

Cold this morning, my station barely escaped freezing but Windsor did not. I think only two EC stations in Essex-Kent stayed above, Point Pelee and Cedar Springs (~5 km from my house)

A chilly 4C in Moncton at 11 AM and sunny, only going up to 5C this afternoon. It is quite breezy making it feel pretty cold out. It feels like November.

I'm pretty sure Toronto (YYZ anyway) froze too. YYZ is definitely not well located, relative to the rest of Toronto, for avoiding a freeze. Cobourg EC station didn't record a freeze. Got down to 0.3C.

I use this link for Ontario, which someone on this forum suggested (I forget who). Someone else will have to confirm for YYZ though. This is saying -0.6.

EC hourly observations for YYZ show a minimum of +0.5C, but, this data is pretty coarse. There are more granular observations out there. It probably froze, but, I will leave it to Marty or Nicko to confirm.

0.5C hourly low but official low is -0.6C for YYZ. So yes, they did freeze.
YUL escaped this morning but it's only for a few hours...

Safely in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

The leg I was most curious about (St. Anthony to Blanc Sablon) was 14 minutes at 4K feet lol
