Looks like Toronto might juuuust avoid a freeze Saturday night, EC has us at 1. It will be close. If we survive this one, it looks like we could go well into November without a freeze.

Today is very fall like. Currently 11 and partly cloudy. Dry and calm, so quite pleasant despite it being cool.

Warm halloween alert: TWN has us at 20!

12C and sunny. Back to seasonal after the cold front. With the complete lack of wind, no complaints with today's cooler weather.

Low of 6C this morning.

The warmspot was Ingonish Beach, NS at 22.8C.

Warmest low was Sable Island and North East Margaree, NS at 14.1C

Scarily heavy rain at times.

Very grateful for my home's physical location - a part of the hill consistently at an angle, there's nowhere for anything to pool front or back. Nearest truly flat area is two houses down in the back, and half a block in the front. And the grade here is not steep enough for the water to be destructively fast.

Rainfall warnings have ended. Some very heavy rain this morning, taking a lot of the leaves off the trees with it, but not nearly as bad as it could have been. Airport totaling around 50 mm since overnight.

Currently cloudy with some light rain and 16 degrees at 11:30am. Cooldown coming early next week, with a very below seasonal mid-week. Overnight lows will be flirting with freezing, though the long-range models have been trending away from freezing temperatures. Will probably depend on how much cloud cover there is.

It's been a remarkably dry October in Toronto so far - only 15 mm of rain, 9 of which occured on the 1st. 40% of light showers today and or tomorrow, but nothing really after that.

Today is another classic fall day. The wind from Wednesday blew quite a lot of leaves of trees.

Currently 9 rising to 15.

10C and sunny early this afternoon. Clouded up later.

Low of 1C. Got surprisingly chilly but still no freeze for at least 24 hours at YUL.

The warmspot was Argentia, NFLD at 19.0C.

Warmest low was Argentia, NFLD at 15.1C.

I see that Montreal-Mirabel Int'l Airport dropped to -1.1 on the 25th. I guess that puts Montreal on the freeze list eh?

It's a beautiful morning here in Halifax. Currently it is sunny and 4.4 and heading to a high of 14 this afternoon.

Foggy. The guy who steals people's garbage and goes through it in the park seems annoying but it gets council workers to clean the park daily so it works out in the end lol

Checked in for my flight. St. John's - St. Anthony - Blanc Sablon - Happy Valley-Goose Bay lol 3.5 hours. Almost as long as London, UK.

And... yikes...

And this appears to be the closest thing to a downtown...

But whatever. I'm excited for this short little jump to Blanc Sablon. We probably won't fly much above the tree line lol

Montreal-Trudeau is definitely in a favorable position for the freeze list considering its location near the St Lawrence and not being in the hinterlands. Vancouver International is another that comes to mind as favourable. Most cities are disadvantaged by their airport location. Looking at Toronto, Pearson is in the disadvantaged category.

Third year in a row taking the kids to Milton Main St. for trick or treating and once again, sunny and decent conditions. So sunny that it made sense to go for a drive in the escarpment afterwards.
