But...
- No tree wells on either frontage? not in keeping with the renderings...
- The slate tiles in the Granville St. sidewalk treatment will be slippery (esp. on the hill) in the rain, as it is on the rest of the street.

Anyone else think the chrome finish on the sculpture looks like a mismatch given all the brushed metal finishes elsewhere?
(although it matches the windows)
A primary colour would have given more of a "pop".

I'd argue those overhangs are too low and the glass is too dark, making the area feel more confined than it already is. That side of the tower's lower portion feels like a glass barrier, a minimal improvement from the parking tower that was originally there.

In large cities, central stations usually have a wide open plaza or park just outside the station.
Since that wasn't possible here, the developers and architects really should have
provided a more spacious pedestrian experience, but instead, we got one of the worst office lobbies in the central business district.

A massive improvement over the parking garage that was there before, and one of the more eye-catching towers in the area and indeed in downtown, and really improves that corner leading to Waterfront station, IMO.

That's why I ended my comment with "IMO" - meaning "In my opinion"

We're allowed to have opinions and it's acceptable when they don't agree with each other.

Even though the first parts of my comment are arguably factual.

The tower is an improvement over a parking garage, however you choose to cut it - and not just a small one at that - and however anyone feels about the actual design of the tower.
I'd love to see or meet anyone who would prefer to have a parking garage, or even the original parking garage that existed before, over this present tower, simply because they don't like the design of this tower.
At most, people might be like,..... "I prefer to have a different tower than this one on that spot",..... but hardly anyone will be,.... "I'd much rather have a parking garage in that spot than this tower".

And also, whether or not you like the design itself, it is eye-catching - being one of the few towers in Downtown with a curved profile facade.

We can disagree on the granular details and the opinion-based aspects of taste and style as to whether execution was successful, and that's allowed.

Yes, I don’t know why anyone would complain about this or put the parking garage up as a positive comparison.
