Love the mural and the wood beams.. I’m looking forward to seeing some other angles of this project!

That’s just the King Street facade. It rises to a 16 storey tower to the north with the six storey building wrapping around the entire site to enclose a central courtyard like a Barcelona block.

At least there's activity out on site and behind the scenes now.

I was wondering about this and was afraid that it was one of those projects that became "vapourware" or in "development hell" or whatever you want to call it.

That's so sick. Can you share some renders?

I saw the renderings that were sent to the media. There were some much nicer renderings than the one that was shown by the WFP (and posted here). Not sure where those nicer renderings, that show more of the site, ended up. Anyways, as TrueViking has alluded too, there are bigger plans for the site...

It’s hilarious that they chose that rendering to publish.

Are you at liberty to share the rest as of yet?

Wow, super exciting. I'm a student at RRC next door and I've been watching them work on the site over the past year, hopefully they start work on the north portion before I graduate..

Sounds huge. How many units?

I stayed in an Airbnb in Barcelona a few years back in one of the units facing the courtyard!

Is that Dee Barsy mural a done deal as part of the project? That would be amazing

I wish someone would publish the whole thing so you can see the composition. This is just one component of a large composition.

What’s on the ground floor?

Hopefully. She has been contracted for the south building and there was a client request to incorporate a mural on the north development. I thought it might be cool to integrate it right into the architecture instead of being a square panel somewhere on the building. My client is amazing. Absolutely the best.

The idea is that the artwork crawls across the brick facade like a vine. In ten years when the artwork fades, a new artist is hired to redefine the look of the building. So it will be ever evolving.
