Yes, 200 Main, there was an agreement to sell it to a group of local business owners who have the capacity to make something great at this location. Hopefully it will have a nice street presence.
Place Bathurst Mall is seeing a new influx of retailers again. So far...
*Hart is setting up a furniture store in the old Pet store above their fashion store recently opened.
*Bentley is reopening soon in its old unit.
*Pizza Hut is apparently coming next to Staples
*Digi Labs is opening next to Dollarama
*Something is afoot next to Yellow shoes the mall appears to be clearing out the space now.
Above that retail wise in the city:
* Petro Canada is going to welcome new Costco products. Renovations are happening.
*A new plaza next to the Brick is underway for a presumed new fashion and sportware store.
*Work to renovate the former Tim Hortons on Main is happening now. ( unknown use)
*Liz restaurant is expanding
*A new Bakery arrived on McDonald street.
Outside of Retail:
* The former Mill site is now seeking tender for clean up
*A new large apartment structure is proposed for the old Natural resources building
*The corner of King and Main where Greco once stood appears to have a purchaser and ready for development. ( my guess a mixed use building)
*The old Post office is becoming a Art and cultural center. Renovations are happening.
