Pretty cool seeing the western skyline grow in recent years. Can't wait to see what goes up next.

I seem to remember all sorts of controversy when the now dwarfed SoHo Parkway was proposed.

I always feel the Flora Footbridge is in the wrong location.
Should have been south of 5th Ave Clegg St, closer to Lansdowne.
And those ramps on Colonel By Dr not the best.

Could have landed right on the top of the stair, where Echo meets Echo (Known as Echo Sunset point on Google Maps) with zero ramps on that side, and then a fancy ramp into Lansdowne Park directly.

Great shots rocketphish! Really hoping Larco doesn't build that Château Laurier expansion. Nothing other than a three to four storey addition would work here.

A bridge at Lansdowne was part of the winning design for the "Great" Lawn, but it was quickly cut-out of the project as part of a value-engineering effort.

Well, they're not my shots. Kudos to Ottawacurious for finding the website of The Docks, where these originate.

This is a cool shot from the article

Can't wait to see our CBD new tallest poking into this shot. PDV C is timeless, but needs to take a step back in prominence.

Agreed. PdV C (and the entire complex really) is one of my favourite buildings. with what I think is a positive impacts on the Ottawa skyline, but it will be nice having a couple modern towers sharing the spotlight.

I wonder if the Malhotras ever sit down, look at photos like this one, and go, "ahhh, yes... this is a legacy we can be proud of"

Are you being serious? because c'mon, Montreal is light years ahead in both quality and aesthetic. There is a ton of potential in Ottawa.. a beautiful natural setting, good density, but a lot of the new builds leave a lot to be admired. That can be said about a lot of places really, but for the nation's capital I would expect a higher standard. Now, I'm not hating on Ottawa... don't get me wrong here.. I would love to see bigger and better.. that is all.

Great shots of Ottawa though.. I have to admit.

Seriously. I would love to hear if they are somehow proud of this or ashamed.
