What (or where) is that building wayyyy off in the distance in the middle of the street? Must be at UBC?

It was impressive when Broadway was bookended by that and the massive billboard on top of the Lee Bldg at Broadway and Main - I'm not a fan of advertising, but I didn't mind the character of these pieces.

Based on Google Maps/Earth, that "building" is actually a clump of moderately tall buildings on 10th between Blanca and Tolmie. The terrain adds 50 metres to the height.

I could be wrong though, and that could be a new build on UBC

Seems like it's near Broadway/Alma but is that Westbank project active or stalled out? Broadway has that little kink near Alma so I'm guessing those buildings have to be in a straight line along Broadway. And UBC seems too far away..

Probably correct since it lines up.. Google Maps "satellite" view just shows trees along there still.

the renders for this project show what appears to be terracotta-coloured panels or fins on the tower portion...does anyone know if these are still to come or has the project changed to what we see now?

Most of the renders are from the rezoning. I'm not having much luck digging up renders definitively from the DP though the drawn elevations do show brown where grey has been installed in Officedweller's post above.

The raised panels have been installed on the lower half of the tower in giallo's recent pictures, they still have have white and blue protective wrap on.
