The data was published by Statistics Canada in December 2022, based on the 2021 Census.

Yours is out of date, because it refers to the 2016 Windsor CMA boundary, which has been superceded.

This is why the "correct" CMA population of Windsor is 422,630 (2021) with the addition of Leamington, Essex, and Kingsville, and will likely be higher whenever the CMA boundaries are updated for the annual estimates.

It's quite easy to look it up. Windsor CMA was previously made up of Windsor, Tecumseh, Lasalle, Lakeshore and Amherstburg. With the 2021 Census the definition of the Windsor CMA has changed to include all of Essex County.

Alberta is a couple days from hitting 4.8 million and with the pace of growth should easily surpass 4.9 million by the end of 2024.

any guesses as to when Canada hits 41 million? Late February 2024? March 2024?

We are currently sitting at: 40,763,288

Ontario will hit 16 million this year. Probably sometime late winter.
Quebec is on the cusp of 9 million.

That would mean we've increased 1M in well under 12 months. We could see 50M by 2030 if trends hold in that case (I sort of doubt they would)

Pretty much....same old story. People can't possibly accept that the Windsor metro area might actually have more people than the Oshawa metro, gasp.

The Oshawa CMA really shouldn’t even exist at this point, it’s solidly just part of the Toronto CMA anyway.

Hamilton is more on the line, but Oshawa is definitely GTA integrated to a full extent.

Greater Golden Horseshoe should be the major definition for the metros in that area. 2 million people live around the surrounding boarders of the GTA and most are very connected to Toronto and its immediate suburbs.
