I've often thought that but some people seem to think it's permanently sunny (it is in the renders) so outdoor streetfront retail is the best. That's obviously not the case for at least half of the year here.
So breaking up so many malls to change them into towers over retail podiums is something I'm not totally sold on. Doing that on the acres of parking lots surrounding malls - sure. Redeveloping streetfront / outdoor mails - again totally fine with it.
I didn't spend much time in Brentwood mall so I don't know how well it was (or wasn't) doing.
