Ugh. We came upon a fatal pedestrian accident this evening on North Mopac just south of US 183. It had just happened. The ems and cops weren't even there yet. There was a van sitting in the middle lane with their flashers on, so cars started going around it. That's when we saw the man lying in the street. He had been pronounced dead on the scene. He had black clothes, and he didn't have any shoes on. It was dark through there, and the traffic was pretty heavy.
It's insane that people try to cross a high way, even if it's only the access road.
