@VaskoYOW, are you able to tell if the next week is looking full and next Wednesday at this point?
I can only tell you 72hr in advance…tomorrow there are 123 pax and Friday 112! Pretty good loads!

Will need more feed from the east before LAX and SFO are feasible at YOW. Hopefully in due time once the likes of YYT, YQB & a YSJ return come online and E95 upgauges to YHZ happen.
LAX and SFO may never happen from YOW on Porter.
LAX- YOW distance is 2400 n Miles.

E2 distance is 2550. (Toronto is 2150). Certain days you would be weight restricted. I think people forget Porters E195-2 has less range than the E190-2.

I thought the range was closer to 2650 nmi but regardless YOW-LAX is 2068 nmi not 2400. YYZ-LAX is 1890 nmi.

WS, AC and F8 all have non-stops today as well, so that 123 number is extra impressive.

My brother flies the E2 and he says the YOW-LAX/SFO potentially can have 2000lb payload restrictions on certain days westbound.
Rumor is that PD and Delta might be entering into a joint venture or something like that so YOW-ATL could be potential route.
Also, PD got Flair pilots transferring from the YOW base….that’s why Flair is closing their base here.
I’ll let you know, when I hear more PD news/rumors.

Incredible. I thought it would be PD and AA but Delta is good as well. PD already serve YOW-BOS, so the addition of their other hubs in ATL and LAX from YOW would be perfect. Maybe this would also be an incentive to have Delta here as well.

Interesting to hear about DL since they're already partnered with WS. I was actually wondering if they were planning on partnering with AA since they have CLT, DFW and PHX as potential destinations. Doing so would hopefully make YOW-MIA more viable as well. Although they do have ATL, MSP and SEA listed as well which are DL hubs. Hopefully partnering with either one would move their NYC ops from EWR to LGA.

Connections on PD from YVR and YEG to ERW and BOS via YOW are showing up on google flights. I don't think those were an option before?

Correction: YVR-YOW-BOS is not an option.

The schedule might need some kinks, but it's all learning curves as their network has expanded, and continues to expand rapidly.

A few pages back I posted a look at their Dec 4 and 7 schedule from/to YOW, noting some connection possibilities:

Edit: right now EWR-YEG requires either an airport change (YYZ/YTZ) or 2-stop, YTZ-YOW, which no one will want to do when you can fly AC 1-stop via YYZ. I'm sure Porter knows their numbers and if they are targeting connections, O&D, or what % of mix, and will figure it out in due time while maximizing aircraft flying time.

Below is a snapshot of departing YOW on Dec 4 (Monday), and arriving YOW on Dec 7 (Thursday). It is sorted by YOW departure and YOW arrival times from the various destinations.

I'd be interested to hear anyone's observations on the current, as-is schedule. For me, it looks like arrivals from YEG, YQT, YFC, YTZ, and YVR can connect to the FLL and MCO flights, but not the same on the reverse. YEG can make both the BOS and EWR connections, but YVR only EWR. Again, the connections are not possible in reverse. I also feel like the YYG flight should be retimed better as O&D is likely to be very poor in the winter. Obviously, easier said than done though.

What do you all think/observe?

Disclaimer: I may have missed something, as some of this was manual.

For Florida connections, I've noticed a couple of city pairs where the 1-stop connection over YOW works in one direction, while the other direction works as a 2-stop via EWR or BOS with partner B6 (don't know if this works, but for example YFC-YOW-MCO, MCO-EWR-YOW-YFC).

While a PD-DL codeshare sounds strange given WS-DL, for DL, WS are now almost useless for anything east of YWG, save for the likes of SEA-YYC-YOW. PD-AA still seems to make the most sense.

My memory escapes me, what destinations did AA serve out of YOW? Just PHL and CLT?

US served CLT for a while. AA was just token service to PHL. AA was never committed to YOW as US was. Remember how pre-merger AA pulled out of YOW once already to ORD.

Didn’t AA fly to BOS years back?

US Airways briefly flew to DCA as well. But when they did the LGA slot swap with DL, the route was a casualty. I don't think it lasted more than a year.

This was before AA and US merger. AA Eagle flew to ORD on the E135/145.

After the merger, it was just PHL, with CLT making an appearance for 1-2 years if I remember correctly.
