Thanks for the update Paniolo Man! There are so many apartment developments in process on the west side between 400 and 1000 West. I think the Lusso apartments are stalled on 1000 West behind Asadero. I have not seen much progress there in months.

Thanks Paniolo Man. I drove past the Cinq the other day. You can kind of tell how this project is going to look on the west side of the development. I am a little disappointed in how this one turned out. It's pretty bland at best. At least in my opinion. Maybe the Rio and the Zephyr will be better.

Using Astra as the example, the skyline shot by RC14 once again highlights why it would require something in the 600' range to truly break the ceiling. With the addition of all the recent towers there is no denying that SLC is looking far more legit however!

I like the change! Perhaps just my subjective taste, but I think that this updated vintage appeal is more attractive than the original and fits better with the visual street engagement. This will help to mellow the questionable choice of color palette on the Randi.

Say what you want about the design (imo kinda boring) but streetscape is nice and the new commercial spaces and midblock walkway will really enhance that whole area.

Anything is better than the huge empty lot there now.

Gabbott's Row seems to have stalled, they started excavating and abruptly stopped a couple month's ago. Site is all overgrown now. Part of me wonders if the developer is holding off for the proposed Ballpark rezone to build something bigger. Whatever happens, I hope it looks something like their current design. Main Street could use some character on the southern end.

That's great news that we finally have an update on the Moda Luxe site. I wish we could get more height, since it's so close to the downtown core and the Randi already feels so stubby and underwhelming. I would like to see more buildings fill in the gap between the 5+1 and the bigger apartment towers (things on the scale of The Exchange), like Moda Luxe was initially slated to do. But I will say though that the ground floor engagement and mid-block walkway make up for that in a big way and could bring back a lot of much-needed vibrancy to that block.

I really hope this one happens. I agree that the design would be really unique for a modern residential building, and it would be a shame if that got value engineered out.

Anyone know when City Council will act on the Intermountain/Sears rezone? It's been almost 2 months since City Council held a hearing on the topic. It's been almost 10 months since IHC applied for the rezone and the definition change for D-1. It'll be ages before this breaks ground since they'll need to go through the whole design review process as well.
