Wow, love this design!

This is a perfect example of medium density residential we need to see more of. Love the use of modern and historical elements. But I especially love the use of natural landscaping, with prairie grasses and bushes that will actually thrive in our environment!

A dull brown look. Very 70s look. Mixes in well with the surroundings.

I hope this includes a sidewalk/bike path that will connect Bellamy Hill to 102 St.

Ledcor - Construction
Linkedin

Located between the University of Alberta campus and the residential neighbourhood of Garneau, the Garneau Redevelopment has achieved a significant milestone: welcoming the first wave of students into their new homes for the school year! One of two towers comprising the project, the 20-storey student residence building features street-front retail units topped with both graduate and undergraduate residences, providing a total of 500 much-needed student beds for the University.

This project required a big commitment of people power, with over 400 workers on-site at its peak. With 23 months of construction behind us and many challenges overcome, we couldn’t be prouder of our team!

Thank you to Maclab Development Group and everyone involved in this project who helped us provide students with more housing options! To learn more about the project, visit https://ow.ly/xZoe50PFBj9

The Laurent turned out great, it's amazing what some high-quality exterior finishings can do (i.e. not stucco, EIFS, etc.).

It reminds me of an updated Cambridge Tower.

The Laurent tower is probably one of my favorites in the last 10 years.

Are we sure there is character hiding under that paint? Based on the images, it appears it might just be plain cinderblock construction. If Macewan builds something great on the site sooner than later, it's worth it.

That building was hit by arson about a year and a half ago, resulting in Wonder Harbor Comics shutting down permanently. I wouldn't be surprised if demolition is their only choice.

Blindly copying your posts from SRC has hit a faux pas. I doubt most people on SSP know who Filip Nowak is.

That might be the nicest student residence tower I've seen in Canada. Please build more, U of A/Edmonton
