Yeah, it's an amazing shot.

To each their own. I don't think you can compare this waterfront neighborhood to Toronto's Harbourfront. It's more comparable to Humber Bay Shores. The built areas of Humber Bay Shores is more visually interesting being developed by more developers. With that, it's overbuilt lacking cohesion between one property and another. The west end of Humber Bay Shores has better cohesion from a stricter masterplan but, is also blander like Concord Vancouver. The architecture is mediocre at best. The landscaped area is far superior to this Vancouver neighbourhood although it's not a fair comparison by any means. It exists on lake fill.

To each their own... In Toronto the tallest towers in that pic would be hidden behind even taller, bigger towers.

Vancouver is probably our most instantly photogenic city, particularly given the geographically concise downtown and the way the built form interfaces with the natural environment; but the skyline on its own isn't particularly impressive. Dense, but it lacks the drama that really tall buildings achieve. This is the type of thing that's more perceptible in person than in a drone photo on a computer screen though.

Thanks!

It was quite the day getting around.

I was hoping to get Marine Gateway too, but that’s still YVR restricted!

I got two more videos in the work, one for the Island and another for the Fraser Canyon.

Beautiful video Metro One!

And those Hamilton shots are great - makes it look like Halifax but on steroids! Even a couple of the shots have an uncanny similarity.

Interesting and unexpected Vancouver skyline shots from this real estate photographer. Yah, West 8th (up the hill) but Unit 301, so only the third floor.

Nice enough, but unassuming:

if you were to look out the kitchen window, not facing the skyline (the living room does have good views) it’s nothing special:

But wait.. a stairway to heaven? To your own private rooftop patio? Yep!

Are the views ok?

The view from the QEW over the Skyway Bridge, which is very industrial, taints many opinions (but that may be changing, since Stelco's operations are shrinking and the large land mass on which its buildings sit is going to be redeveloped over time for different commercial/industrial purposes, and Dofasco is planning to shift away from coal toward hydrogen for steel making).

Those who know Hamilton are aware there is much beauty once one gets past the industry-dominated port lands. West harbour (left of that skyline pic SteelTown shared) has evolved into a people place since the mid-1990s, and will be more so in the years to come as the city redevelops piers and more residential buildings go up.
