Yes and no, notice Carbon Tax and the Personal Income Tax Exemption match each other in revenue over the next two years? Carbon Tax will bring in $120 Million (estimate) this year and the $1,010 PITE will cost the government roughly the same ($120 million) and next year the Carbon Tax will bring in closer to $240 Million since it will be in place for a full fiscal year. Next years PITE will go up another $1,010 and cost the government another $120 million for a total of $240 million.
