There was an interview on CBC Compass with Mayor Kutcher of Summerside and I had to chuckle to myself on their discussion on Summerside's large population growth. They made it sound like the bottom was falling out of the planet. Well, in 5 years the population grew 455 people since 2016. Most, or half at least, have left I'm sure.
If they are having a population explosion, then why did they deny a 600 unit project that would have easily helped with their new population growth. Obviously they aren't having a population explosion, just normal growth.
My son lives there and he said that Summerside isn't progressive like other cities, its still stuck in 'towny' mode.
