How are the downtown malls holding up during the pandemic? I can tell you that Portage Place in Winnipeg is dead... there is not much left beyond the food court, cell phone shops and some random discount outlets. Many shops have closed over the last year and a half. Up until the mid 90s this was a major mall bookended by Eaton's and The Bay's downtown stores at either end.
